Another Test and Another Defeat!!!

In my college days, I was very sensitive to Indian cricket team performance. After looking at my disappointment after yet another Indian loss, one of my friends commented that only those people who don't have their own achievements in their lives rely on Indian cricket team's so rare heroics. I took that comment very seriously and over period of time made conscious effort to reduce my dependency on Indian team's performance to retain my happy state of my mind. I have tried to reduce time spent in front of television set when India is not performing well and try to indulge in any activity which would give me any sense of achievement. Still that small amount of disappointment always stays. The fact remains that Indian Test cricket team is in pathetic state when it comes down to performing in overseas conditions. Series of Meaningless Cricket Matches

Of late Indian cricket team and its players have been involved in series of meaningless matches. The real meaningful test cricket was played in England during which Indian team was beaten comprehensively by English team. Soon our players were involved in Champions League Matches. Despite the attendance it received, I doubt if spectators were really interested in quality of game played or result for that matter.  Right now Indian cricket team is in middle of home series against West Indies. Only Indian cricket Board knows how this series (which is played on flat tracks and much smaller grounds) will help cause of Indian cricket team during World cup to be played in Australia in early 2015. It is also appalling to see number of columns written by former cricketers analyzing such meaningless series.  In short we are killing Cricket as a game by its overdose. I am still positive to see the real cricket preserved in countries like New Zealand, South Africa, England and Australia...
