The birthday always makes me introspect. With every passing year the level of introspection has become deeper; or at least that's what I believe.  Going back in the childhood days, I used to look forward to the Birthdays due to the new dresses and the chocolates they brought. Though they appeared to be the primary reason; real reason was the attention one gets on the Birthday. Let's admit even today; to certain extent I cherish the attention. Then the obvious question! Over the years; did anything change in terms of the emotions the Birthday brings? Answer is Yes!! Here is the attempt to capture it in words! My son wanted to get up at 5:30 A.M. in the morning to watch the Copa America tournament final between Argentina and Chile. I managed to convince him to get up at 6:30 A.M. so that he could watch the match from the second half onward. The score card continued to be blank during regular time and even during the extra time.
